DragonDMS has a full set of default Nominal Codes and a chart of accounts. It is highly recommended that you use the default Nominal Codes provided by Dragon2000.
Viewing the default codes
Go to Settings > Accounts > Nominal Codes – you will then see the full list of default Nominal Codes.
If you click on ‘Code’ it will sort the Nominal Codes into number order to make viewing the codes easier. Clicking ‘Print Nominal Structure’ will open a full list of the Nominal Codes in DragonDMS.
Please note that there are Nominal Codes that you will never use in DragonDMS, for example, ‘3000 Ordinary Shares’ or ‘0030 Office Equipment’. These codes are incorporated so that you can create a full chart of accounts in Sage 50 Accounts from DragonDMS.
Printed report
Clicking ‘Print Default Nominal Structure’ will open a report showing the current Nominal Codes that are set as defaults for each department within DragonDMS i.e. Car Sales Department, Service Department and Parts Department.
