Spin360 app

Dealers with a Dragon2000 hosted website can use the Spin360 app to take external and internal 360^o images of their vehicle stock.

The 360^o images upload to the vehicle page on their website where visitors to the site can take a virtual tours around and inside the vehicle. The images can be easily navigated by dragging the image left, right, up or down to see every inch of the vehicle.

Hotspots can be added to the images to highlight special features, additional photos can be linked to the hotspots allowing the viewer to see a feature in greater detail.

All of the vehicles in stock within DragonDMS will be automatically loaded to the Spin360 app.

Vehicle list

The content management menu is populated with all of the vehicles that are in stock on DragonDMS. A stock feed is setup from DragonDMS to the Spin360 app, this feed is every hour between 08:00 and 17:00.

Using Search to find Inventory

Vehicles can be found using the search box by entering any of these details, registration, make model, derivative or stock number. This is a much quicker way to find a vehicle than scrolling through your stock list.

Creating an Exterior 360° image

You create a walk around 360° by walking around the vehicle and recording using the walk around 360° image feature.

1. Stand in front of the vehicle for which you wish to record a walk around 360° image.
2. In Content Management search for the vehicle, then tap onto it
3. In the vehicle details view, tap the 360° image icon
4. Select Record a new 360° image
5. Select Walk around
6. Tilt the phone to landscape and tap the red button to initiate the 3-second countdown.
7. When the countdown is over, begin the 360° image capture by steadily walking counter-clockwise around the vehicle, maintaining the vehicle’s position within the arcs.
8. On returning to your starting position, tap the red button to complete the exterior 360° image.
9. Preview the exterior 360° then tap Done if satisfied. This prompts you to capture an interior 360° image.

Creating an interior 360° Image

The recommended camera to use with the Spin360 App is the Ricoh Theta SC 360 degree camera. In addition you can purchase a stabilising tripod, some of which come with a built in spirit level.

The Richo Theta SC is compatible with iOS 10.0 or later and Andriod 5.0 and up.

Positioning the Ricoh Theta camera

The Ricoh Theta camera should be positioned vertically in the centre of the vehicle between the driver and front passenger seat.

Ensure that the Ricoh Theta camera is forward facing. The camera mode lamp should face the rear seats.

Capture the interior 360° Image in good lighting.

Creating an interior 360^o image

1. Switch the Ricoh Theta camera on and place it inside the vehicle, making sure the camera’s front faces the vehicle’s dashboard.
2. After completing your exterior 360° image capture, confirm you wish to capture the interior by tapping Yes in the prompt.

(Tip: If you select No in the prompt, your exterior is packaged without an interior 360° image. You will have to do an exterior all over to package it with an interior 360° image)

3. Connect to the Ricoh Theta’s Wi-Fi by tapping going into your phones Wi-Fi options, select the Ricoh Theta Camera’s Wi-Fi and wait for the Ricoh Theta and the phone to connect.
4. When connection is established, return to the Spin360 App and view the live preview (supported on iOS).
5. If satisfied with the interior preview, tap the red record button and this creates the interior 360° image.
6. After recording a 360° video, use the preview feature to pan the image you’ve just captured or to play the video. If you are not happy with what you see, use the options to retake the 360° Image or the video.
