Manufacturers Parts Price Files

If your Manufacturer provides you with a Parts Price File, then DragonDMS may be able to provide updates for you. The Dragon2000 Support Team will be able to confirm if we already receive the Parts Price File that you require.

If we do not already receive the Parts Price File then we will require you to request that the manufacturer sends it to us on a regular basis and we will endeavour to make it compatible with DragonDMS.

Written confirmation will be required from the Manufacturer to confirm that you are eligible to receive the price files before this can be applied.

How does the Parts Price File Work?

We do not import all of the parts on the Manufacturers Price File into your DragonDMS, as most price files will contain tens of thousands of Part lines. Instead, we allow you to add in only those Parts that you actually use.

To create a new Part Record from a Manufacturers Price File, click on Create Part as normal from the Parts Main Menu. Enter the Part Number and click on the Price File button.

The Part Description, RRP, Selling Price and Purchase Price will be populated from the Manufacturers Price File.

If the Manufacturer uses Discount Codes these need to be set up in order for the Purchase Price to be calculated. When the Price File is applied, DragonDMS will deduct the appropriate Discount Code from the Selling Price to calculate the Purchase Price. The Discount Codes are supplied by the Manufacturer and not by Dragon2000. To set up your Discount Codes go to Settings > Parts > Settings > Prices > Discount Codes.

Each new Price File that we process (this is usually done monthly) will update the prices of any parts currently in your stock that were originally created using the Price File option.
