Job Card Clocking

There are two ways to clock onto a job; clocking onto the whole job or clocking onto individual labour lines.

Clocking onto a whole job

1. To scan onto the whole job, firstly make sure that this option is enabled in your Settings Menu. To do this go to Settings > Service > Clocking and select ‘Single scan for entire job’:

single scan entire job

2. Now print your job card off. You can do this by going into the Service Record and clicking on Job Items > Job Card. The job card will have a single barcode for the whole job as shown:

4. The clock will then ask you to swipe the employee card. Swipe your employee clocking card against the bottom of the clock ‘( ( ( ( ( 0 ) ) ) ) )’
5. The clock will then say ‘Please scan the line of work to START on the Job Card’. Use the scanner to scan the barcode on the job card. This will then start the technician on this particular job
6. The screen on the clock will then tell you exactly who has clocked onto which labour line e.g. ‘You (name) started work on line1’

Individual labour lines

1. To scan onto the individual labour lines of a job, firstly make sure that this option is enabled in your Settings Menu. To do this go to Settings > Service > Clocking and select ‘Scan on and off every line in turn’. You also have the option of being able to see any pending work, as well as the work that is in progress

The longer barcodes can be used if there is any additional work that the technician needs to carry out where the appropriate labour line has not yet been added to the job:

Important Information

The computer that the Clock Monitor is installed on must remain on and logged into DragonDMS at all times in order for the clock to process the clocking information.
