The image editor allows users to upload images, add banner text, watermark images, library images and smart images. The image editor is available from within DragonDMS and Dragon Portal.
From DragonDMS open a vehicle record, go to Advertising, then Photos and the image editor will automatically launch.
From Dragon Portal open a vehicle record, go to Advertising, then Images and click on the Open Image Editor button.
Upload Images
To upload images, click or drag images into the area at the top of the page. If the images are on a mobile device you can scan the QR code and upload the images directly from a mobile device.
Once uploaded, images can be reordered by dragging to a new position.
Add Banner Text
Banner text can be added to images, either individually or in bulk. When adding to a single image, hover over the image and select Edit.
When adding to multiple images, select the images and then click on Edit Images at the top of the screen.
Click on the Banner option and select the position of the banner (top corner left, top centre, top corner right, bottom corner left, bottom centre or bottom corner right).
Click Save and close the window. If you want to reuse the banner it can be saved as a template which can then be applied to other images. Click Save Template and enter a template name.
Add Watermark images
Watermark images can be added to images, either individually or in bulk. If adding to a single image, hover over the image and select Edit.
If adding to multiple images, select the images and then click on Edit Images at the top of the screen.
Click on the Watermark option, click Choose a File and select your image, then select the position of the image (top left, top centre, top right, bottom left, bottom centre or bottom right).
The scale and opacity of the image can be adjusted using the sliders. There is a full width option that can be applied to images in the top centre and bottom centre positions.
Click Save and close the window. If you want to reuse the watermark it can be saved as a template which can then be applied to other images. Click Save Template and enter a template name.
Templates
Banner text or watermarks that have been saved as templates can be applied to other vehicle images.
If adding to a single image, hover over the image and select Edit.
If adding to multiple images, select the images and then click on Edit Images at the top of the screen.
Click on the Template option, select the template name and then click Save.
Library Images
Standard images can be uploaded into the image editor, these images can then be added in bulk or individually when adding vehicle images.
Click on Add images to upload library images. Click Add All to upload all library images.
When images are added in bulk, they will be added in the order that they are listed in the library images.
Smart Images
Smart images are dynamically created based on the value of the optional extras that are listed on the vehicle (These are added in Advertising > Standard Equipment > Lookup Equipment).
Once a smart image has been added to the vehicle images it becomes a static image, meaning if the optional extras on the vehicle are edited the image does not update. In this scenario delete the smart image and then re add.
