Entering a new vehicle

In Dragon APPraise, you can also enter stock vehicles from the App into your DragonDMS

To add a vehicle into stock, select the Vehicle section and click on the New Vehicle button. Enter the registration and current mileage.

You will then have the option to perform a Specification Lookup on the vehicle. This can be done through the following providers:

  • Auto Trader – This will lookup both the standard and non-standard features of the vehicle. There is an additional charge of 0.15p to perform an Auto Trader Spec Lookup.
  • CAP – This will retrieve the standard spec of the vehicle. If you have an account with CAP, we can link this for you.
  • MotorSpecs – This will retrieve the standard spec of the vehicle. If you have an account with Motorspecs, we can link this for you.

Once the details have been entered you can select to Lookup Vehicle where a VRM lookup will be performed and the vehicle details populated or Enter Manually where you can manually enter the details of the vehicle.

** Please note that if you choose to use the Lookup function, this will use one VRM Lookup from your monthly allowance included within your DragonDMS subscription **

If you choose to Lookup the vehicle, once the vehicle details have been saved, a Vehicle Record will be created in the Used Vehicle section of your DragonDMS.  If you choose to enter the vehicle details manually, you will have the option to select if this is a New or Used Vehicle.

If a Specification Lookup has been performed through Auto Trader, before you click Save Vehicle, you will have the option to select the Optional Features that the vehicle may have. Click Select Features and a list will be displayed for you to choose the optional featutes for that vehicle.

Once all of the vehicle details have been populated click on Save Vehicle. A message will then be displayed confirming the vehicle has been added and will give you two options:

  1. View the Vehicle Details which will take you to the vehicle record you have just created.
  2. Add Another which will allow another registration to be entered and the process to be repeated.
