DragonDMS – September 2017

New DragonDMS features including additional customer contact data on invoices, new option to print a customer copy of an internal service invoice, improved report filtering and much more

Sales

New Features

  • Supplementary invoices will now show a Deliver to address
  • You can now see the date a Vehicle Record was created and who it was created by. Open the Vehicle Record, then click on the Dates tab where you will see Record Creation Details

Improvements

  • Customer email addresses will now be shown on a vehicle invoice

Service

New Features

  • Technician Scheduler can now be opened from within the service booking diary by clicking on the Tech Scheduler tab at the top of the Booking Diary
  • You can now print a Customer Copy of an internal service invoice for example, if work has been done on a stock car prior to sale

Improvements

  • Extras can now be re-ordered on a Service Estimate. From within the Service Estimate, use the Up and Down buttons. This order will be preserved when you transfer the Estimate to a booking or approve for service
  • Labour sub-headings within a service job can now be re-ordered. From within the service job, select a service category and use the Up and Down buttons to re-order
  • Service Bookings menu will no longer have an ‘Advisor’ column, instead there is aBooked By column
  • Customer telephone numbers and email addresses will now be shown on a service invoice
  • When issuing parts on a Service, you will now be prompted to either add the parts to an existing issue, or create a new one

Parts

New Features

  • The same barcode can now be used for multiple parts – when the barcode is scanned, a list will pop-up showing all parts that use that particular barcode, you can then select the relevant part as required

CRM

Improvements

  • Custom mailshots can now be sent to Prospects with an open enquiry
  • Pending Website Enquiries will now show on the notifications pop-up on login. To enable the notification pop-up, go to Settings > System > Employees > double-click on the employee you wish to enable the pop-up for > click on Access Rights tab > Other tab then tick the ‘Enable Notifications on login’ box

Reports

Improvements

  • Sale Agreed Date will now show on Sales reports and can be filtered
  • Service Sales reports can now be filtered by Service Advisor
  • Labour Hours Taken Progress report can now be filtered by Hours Taken
  • The All Contacts report, found within Reports > General, can now be filtered by Contact Type and Date Created
  • Technician Times from bookings will now show on the Technician Times and Technician Times Detailed reports found in Reports > Service > Service Efficiency

Settings

New Features

  • New setting to allow you to have job card details on a barcoded job card. To enable this go to Settings > Service > Settings > Invoices tab > then tick the ‘Show Job Card Details on barcoded job cards’ option
  • Control which Salesmen can see costs on a deal by amending their access rights in Settings > System > Employees > double-click on the relevant employee > click on Access Rights tab > Vehicle Sales tab then tick or untick the ‘Can view sensitive data’ option
  • New option to have a default artwork for each branch. Go to Settings > System > Branches > double-click on the relevant branch, then select a default artwork
