DragonDMS – July 2018

New DragonDMS features including Codeweavers finance integration into the DragonDMS, GDPR changes, new Auto Trader Motorhome feed, template improvements, faster menu searching and much more

Finance Integration

Dragon2000 have partnered with Codeweavers to offer an industry first finance integration into the DragonDMS.

The all new feature will allow you to instantly retrieve finance quotes alongside your stock and manage the resulting proposals from within one place, saving huge amounts of time jumping from system to system and re-keying important data.

Monthly payment budget searches can also be performed across the entirety of your stock to discover which vehicles best match customer’s requirements and affordability. Once the perfect quote has been tailored to suit, you are then able to quickly submit the proposal to the lender from within the DMS.

The integration of Finance Proposals is also a powerful tool. Every single finance application submitted, whether it’s generated from within the DMS or your own website, will be pulled through into the CRM section and linked to the customer’s enquiry record and the vehicle stock record, allowing your sales team to act fast and to track, manage and close the sales opportunity.

GDPR Transaction Cleanse – Permission Driven

You can now cleanse (remove) a particular transaction from a Contact, for example, a service invoice, car sales invoice, etc. The transaction will still exist within your system but the contact will no longer be linked to it. Instead, the transaction will have a contact of “GDPR Cleanse Account”.

To cleanse a transaction from a contact, open the Contact Record and right click the transaction you wish to remove in the ‘Transaction Log’ list – you will then have the option to ‘Remove Transaction’.

GDPR Contact Removal – Permission Driven

You can now delete contacts that have transactions against them (service invoices, car sales invoices, etc.). To do this, simply go into the Contact Record, click Additional Information and then click ‘Delete Contact Record‘.

You will only be able to delete a contact with transactions if all of their transactions are before your ‘Contact Deletion Date’ – This is found in Settings > System > GDPR and dictates how old transactions have to be in order to delete them. 7 years is the default.

Once the contact has been deleted, all previous transactions will show the “GDPR Cleanse Account” as the customer.

Faster Sold and Completed Services searching

We have made some changes to the way searching is performed in the ‘Vehicles Sold’ menu and the ‘Completed Services’ menu to help increase searching speed.

In some circumstances searching could be slow as it was searching every single column in the menu to find a matching value. Instead, we have now added a drop-down box to the left-hand side of the search box which tells the system which column to search – the drop-down box will contain all of the options you can search by including “All”, which will search all of the columns for the value like it used to.

You can set the ‘Default Search Option’ used for each menu from within your Employee Record > Other > Menu

Partially apply templates to Bookings & Services

Up until now, when you applied a template to a Booking or Service record, the entire template was added to the job. Now, you can choose to apply only selected items.

To do this, go into a service and click on Templates and then ‘Add Template’ – from here, if you select the template and click ‘Edit‘ you will see that the template opens with all of the items on that template selected in blue. If you click a line of labour, for example, you will see that it becomes deselected meaning that it will now not be applied to the service – this can be done on each of the tabs within the template.

When you have deselected the lines you do not wish to apply, you can click ‘Apply Template’ in the top right hand corner to partially apply the template.
