DragonDMS 2022 – January 2022

New DragonDMS features include adding stock parts to a vehicle record, linking all service items to a labour line, selling stock parts online and much more.

Vehicle Sales

Changes to the purchase invoice screen – preview

  • Tax codes are now visible, making it easier to see which code the invoice will post to in Sage.
  • Vehicle Write Downs are now included on the purchase screen, previously these were added as special costs.
  • New option to add special instructions which will print on the Purchase Invoice.

Vehicle Extras – preview
Parts and Oils can now be added directly to a vehicle record in the same way that you add an Extra. Users no longer need to create an internal job card to add stock parts and stock oils to a vehicle record.

Job Card Requests – preview
Original job card request comments are now locked on service records. This allows the original request to be visible whilst still allowing the job card details to be edited within the service record.

Finance Payment – preview
A Separate tab for Finance companies has been added to make it easier to record payments received from Finance companies.

AutoTrader Live Feed – preview
A new menu has been added for the AutoTrader live feed to make it easier to see vehicles that have errors. These can be quickly picked up and actioned.

Service

Linking all job items to a labour line – preview
Users can now link Parts, Oils and Extras to a labour line. This gives the option of showing just a single invoice line with a price that includes the labour, parts, oils and extras.

New columns to view on labour screen – preview
Users of the workshop app may find it useful to see the assigned technician and the number of comments that have been added against each labour line.

New column to view % complete for open jobs – preview
A new column can be added to the service in progress screen which calculates the % of labour lines that have been marked as closed on a job. When users of the Workshop app mark a task as completed it will automatically mark the labour line in DragonDMS as closed. For those not using the Workshop app you can manually mark a labour line as closed.

Combined Service & MOT reminders – preview
Users can now send a single communication to their customers to remind them of service and MOT’s that are due.

Stock Oils – preview
The management of Stock Oils has been updated to match the way that Stock Parts are  ordered, received and issued.

Parts

Parts Advertising – preview

Vehicle Heath Checks

New VHC report – preview
A new VHC report has been created which allows the report to be generated with no pricing. A useful tool for VHC’s carried out on stock vehicles, to show prospective customers the pre sales checks that have been carried out on the vehicle.

Combining approved items – preview
Multiple items on a VHC that are to be approved to a job can be combined into a single labour line on the job. This allows the individual items to be marked as approved on the VHC, creating a single labour line for a technician to work on.

Sage Integration

Payments
All payments now post to Sage50 as an SA (Payment on Account) rather than SR (Sales Receipt). This will reduce Sage warnings for payments posted that are not allocated to an invoice.
