DragonDMS 2019 Version – December 2018

New DragonDMS features include Deal Stacker finance integration with Codeweavers, Motorspecs Integration, GDPR changes, new Service invoice layout for long term jobs, time saving improvements and much more

Deal Stacker Finance Integration with Codeweavers

From within the Deal Stacker section, you can now view the finance options available to your customer based on the deal you have stacked for them – this includes their part exchange and deposit.

At a glance, the screen will show you the lender, the monthly payment and the APR (you can also double click the quote for more details).

AutoTrader Profile Page Feed

In addition to sending vehicles to be advertised on AutoTrader you can now also send vehicles to be listed on your AutoTrader Profile Page.

Vehicles sent to the AutoTrader Profile page only do not have an AutoTrader Advert and will not be picked up when people search AutoTrader for a vehicle.

Motorspecs Integration

You can now perform a MotorCheck (provenance check) from within the DragonDMS. You can also perform vehicle spec lookups in a vehicle record with the Motorspecs lookup. Contact our Sales Team in order to get set up.

GDPR Bulk Erasure

From within the Utilities section in Contacts, you can now perform the following two cleansing procedures:

  • Erase Contacts” – this will present you with a list of customers that you are able to fully remove from your system, even if they have transactions (date of last transaction must be older than the setting in Settings > System > GDPR > Contact Deletion for the customer to be eligible for erasure).
  • Cleanse Transactions” – this will present you with a list of transactions that you are able to remove from customers. When you view the transaction, for example, a vehicle sales record, the customer will be set to “GDPR Erased”.

New Service invoice layout for long term project work

A new Service invoice layout is available from within Settings > Service > Settings > Invoices. This invoice is much better suited to those undertaking longer project work, such as vehicle restoration.

APPraise – sales video view count

You can now view how many times a prospect has watched a Sales Video. This can be seen from within the Sales Video record in the APPraise section.

Vehicle Sales

You can now add vehicle Funding Information on the Purchase Screen of a vehicle record. The funding information can be added as columns in your list of Vehicles in Stock so you can easily see which vehicles are on funding and how many days are remaining on the funding.

You can now add an IPT cost to a non-IPT warranty (vatable dealer warranty).

The date used when crediting a vehicle sales invoice is now much clearer. When you print a credit note, a pop-up box will be shown, allowing you to select “Use today’s Date”, “Use the original invoice date” or “Use another date”.

Editing a single vehicle feature will now trigger an instant update to the vehicle on your website.

In New and Used Supplementary Invoice menus you can now add the column “Outstanding” to view what the customer has left to pay.

You can now add “No. Interests”, “Prospect Matches” and “No. of Photos” columns into the Vehicles in Stock menu.

When you email a Silent Salesman, you can now dictate the text used in the body of the email. This is done via Settings > Vehicle Sales > Defaults > Silent Salesman.

There is a new menu in Vehicle Sales called “Job Card Requests” – this will show you all of the Job Card Requests created by the Sales Department and the current state.

Vehicle costs with no date entered will show in Red on the deal analysis screen – costs without a date will not integrate to Sage.

Service

When you create a Booking, on the Booking popup, expiry dates will be colour coded to make it easier for the user to identify dates that have expired (Red) or are due to expire soon (Amber). The thresholds for the colour coding are in Settings > Service > Settings > Record Creation.

When a Job Card Request is made, DragonDMS can now send you an email notification – the email address you would like to be notified on can be found in Settings > Service > Settings > Record Creation

Stock Number and Chassis number will now show on Works Orders.

Converting an Estimate to a Booking will now show the Booking popup before creating the Booking record – this allows you to view the Diary, book to the MOT scheduler, etc.

You can now split the estimated hours on a labour line to specific Technicians when more than one technician is working on it. The benefit is that you can more accurately report on Technician efficiencies, rather than just splitting the estimated hours equally between technicians. This is especially helpful if one of the Technicians is an apprentice, or when another Technician helps out on a job for a short period.

Parts

You can now add Deposit payments to both Parts Invoices and Parts Estimates.

New menu: “Suggested Orders – Parts on Jobs Not in Stock” will show you all of the parts that are issued to jobs but are either not in stock or those that are on order but not yet received.

You can now email a Parts Order to the supplier.

Contacts

GDPR – you can now change the default text included in the “Email Link to Customer Consent Portal” email. This is done via Settings > System > GDPR > Consent Portal > GDPR Customer Consent Portal Email.

System Wide

Time saver – when you open any of the main menus, the cursor will automatically be in the Search Box.

Time saver – when you search for a record in a list, if there is only one result, it will open automatically. This can be disabled from within Settings > System > Defaults > Record Searching.

Service and Sales Templates – partially applying a template is now much easier.

Service and Sales Templates – you can now add costs to templates that will not post to Sage. Simply tick the “Do not post to Sage” checkbox.

Employee Permissions

There is a new employee permission: “Can edit create/view/edit employee records”. This will allow you to give certain employees the permission to view and edit settings but not the ability to create, view or edit employee records.
