Can more than one technician be clocked on to the same job?

Yes, there is no limit to the number of technicians that can be clocked on to the same job, however a technician can only be clocked on to one job at a time. If a technician is clocked on to a job and then clocks on to another job, the system will automatically take them off the job they were originally clocked on to.

Do technicians have to clock on to individual labour lines on a job card?

No, you can choose in settings if you wish your technicians to clock on to a single barcode for each job, or if you want them to clock on to individual labour lines.

Users who have technicians that clock on to individual labour lines are able to do much more analysis of the clocking data to find out which parts of a job are being done efficiently and by who.

Can I record time that my technician spend on other tasks?

Yes, you can create your own list of barcodes that technicians can clock on to, these are called non-productive line and can be anything from ‘Helping Sales’ and ‘Moving Vehicles’ to ‘Training’ and ‘Tea Break’.

Can I record technician attendance with the clock?

Technicians should clock in and out of the building when they arrive and leave. The Clock Monitor software shows a list of all the technicians that are currently clocked in, as well as showing what they are currently clocked on to.

What reports can I get from the Electronic Clock?

Time on Site Analysis – this is a top level report that shows by date, by technician the hours they were onsite, and of these hours how many were on productive work (service jobs), Non-productive work, and how much time was unaccounted for ( when they didn’t clock on to anything).

Service Efficiency Detailed Line – this report is grouped by technician and shows all the jobs they have worked on in the reporting period and calculates the technician efficiency %.

Service Efficiency – this report is grouped by service number and shows a comparison of total hours taken on the job compared with hours charged and estimated technician hours.
