To advertise Trucks, Plant or Farm machinery to Auto Trader you will need to ensure the correct Vehicle Type is selected on the record. This will determine if the Vehicle shows on the Trucks, Farm or Plant page of Auto Trader.
Within the DMS, open the vehicle record and go to Vehicle > Technical > Technical and select the relevant vehicle type from the drop down list.
If you are using Dragon Portal, this can be selected in the Edit function of the vehicle record.
For the vehicle to then show in the relevant categories for searches on Auto Trader, you can apply a Category and Sub Category to the record.
Within the DMS open the vehicle record and go to Advertising > Sites and double click on Auto Trader Live Advert. A pop up box will then be displayed where you can select a Category and Sub Category if applicable.
The categories are determined by the Vehicle Type and can only be selected if the Vehicle Type is Truck, Plant or Farm.
If you are using Dragon Portal, the Categories can be selected within a Vehicle Record and Advertising > Auto Trader.
