Advertising a Vehicle
If your company website is supplied and hosted by Dragon2000, then your vehicle stock can be added to your website as soon as you have created the record in your DragonDMS.
Access to edit any of the advertising information can be restricted by user through their user access rights in settings.
How to advertise vehicles onto your Dragon2000 hosted website
From within a Vehicle Record go to Advertising > Overview.
Advertising Details
By ticking the Advertise on my Website button, as soon as you close the vehicle record, the vehicle will be advertised immediately on your website.
When ticked, the Reserved and POA buttons will show as banners on the first vehicle image on the stock list page. The Featured Vehicle button will cause the vehicle to be displayed on the homepage as a featured vehicle.
If you would like to use the Reserved, POA or Featured Vehicle options, please contact the Dragon2000 Website Team to enable these for you.
The Advert Price field is the price that will be displayed on your website and on all other advertising feeds. When the Screen Price is first entered on the Invoicing and Sales screen of the vehicle record, this figure will be populated in the Advert Price box. If you want to make any changes to the price sent to your website or advertising feeds, this will need to be done in the Advert Price field.
If you want to show a reduction in price, the Original Advert Price box can be filled out. This will display on your website with a line through the price.
To add a video to the vehicle, you can either insert a YouTube URL into the Use vehicle URL box or by using our APPraise App and creating a Sales Video. If you choose to use the Appraise App, once the video has been created you will then be able to select it from the Use Sales Video dropdown list.

The Website Title is the vehicle name as it will be displayed on the site, and can be filled in manually or auto filled by using the Regenerate button. The Attention Grabber is the vehicle subheading which will appear slightly below the title.
Advertising Text
Once the Advertising Details section has been completed, you can then enter the Advertising Text for a more detailed overview of the vehicle. This will be displayed on the vehicle details page when the vehicle is viewed on your website.
Standard Equipment
This feature will populate a list of standard equipment that is included for a specific vehicle. A subscription to CAP Standard Specification or Motorspecs Specification is required to access this feature. There is also an option to retrieve this information using Auto Trader Standard and Optional Features. This feature incurs an additional cost which will be deducted from your Dragon2000 Cash Wallet.

To automatically retrieve standard equipment when a Vehicle Record is created go to Settings > Vehicle Sales > Defaults > Vehicle > CAP Standard Equipment and tick the box.
Features
If you have the HPI Spec Check feature and have informed us of this, you can click on the HPI Spec Check button and all of the features of the vehicle will be automatically populated for you. A subscription for this feature is required with HPI and will need to be enabled in your DragonDMS.
If you have used the Auto Trader Standard and Optional Features, any optional features that were selected will show on the Features page.
If you do not have the HPI Spec Check then you can click on the Add Features button and select the relevant features from the list provided.
If the features are not included in the list, click on Create New Features to enter the relevant details. Once all of the features have been selected, click on the right facing arrow to move them into the right hand box and click on Add Features in the top right hand corner.
All features selected will appear on your website on the vehicle details page under a section marked Features.
Photos
The final stage is to add the photos of the vehicle. When you click on the Photos tab, your web browser will open a new page. You can then drag and drop images from your computer onto the page. Each photo should be no bigger than 6MB.
Once the images are uploaded, drag and drop to change the order of the images and click Save once done. This attaches the photos to the vehicle, and they will display on your website in the order they have been added.
